August 30, 2021

This week.

Delayed congratulations to John Szuch our club champion from the Preston Open and thanks to all that came out to play that weekend!
Jake Fishbaugher shot a 29, which is believed to be the new course 9 hole record, very cool and keep grinding young man!
Derrick Bly had a hole in one on Saturday, congrats to him!

This coming Labor Day Weekend is going to be busy. We have big family golf outings on Friday and Saturday during most of the day and evening and another one on Sunday morning until noon. The course will be very full. Golf is still open to all our members. I just wanted to give you a heads up that if you come out during those time frames that play will be slow. If you are a member that utilizes our yearly cart rental please call ahead to check on a good time to play and to give us time to try to round up a cart as cart availability will be scarce. If you plan on playing, the earlier the better as I anticipate the course being pretty full by 9-10 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Thanks,
Jay

The sign up sheet for the Big-Cup Tournament will be posted in the clubhouse this afternoon. The tournament is June 17th. We will be using tee times again this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind when signing up:

  • If there is another team you want to be paired with, please communicate with them and sign up together.
  • We are limited by the number of rental carts we have available. The amount of teams entered into the tournament will be cut-off once we are maxed out on carts.
  • Some tee times will inevitably have to be moved in order to pair with other teams.
  • Final tee-time sheet will be sent out the week of the tournament.

This Wednesday morning we will be getting holes punched into the greens. If you are golfing please play around the guy that is working. The cups and flagsticks will be removed during this and put back-in when done. This process will start early in the morning and hopefully be done around noon.

Golf League starts this week. Jase Baldauf is in charge of this. You or your playing partner should’ve received an email from him. If you did not, please send Jase an email at federal.jase@gmail.com Please follow the link provided in that email. Ultimately, we would like you to try to arrange a time to play with your opponent for the week. However, if that isn’t possible it is ok to play your 9 holes solo and submit your scores. Please just be honest about your scores. I believe Jase will be sending out more info about league.

Thanks,
Jay
