Course Update 11/30
A couple of upcoming events that you might like to attend:
Friday, December 12th – Coffee and treats at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and catch up!
Annual Meeting Saturday, January 10th. – Happy hour and food will start at 6 p.m. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The course will provide food. I’ll send out a dues sheet soon and copies will be available at the meeting as well. You do not have to pay your dues in order to attend.
We have 3 golf board members whose terms are up. Tom Larson, Jase Baldauf, and Ron Theile. Tom Larson is willing to do another 3 year term and will be nominated at the meeting. Jase and Ron’s spot on the board will be open. So if you or someone you know is interested in serving on the golf board please contact me prior to the annual meeting. Thank you to Jase and Ron for all their help over the past few years.
One larger ticket item that is up for discussion currently with the board is the addition of 6 new cart sheds. The tentative plan is to build the new sheds on the south side of the large shed where we currently store the rental carts. The sheds would be accessed north/south instead of east/west like the rest of our sheds. What the board is looking for is 6 people that are interested in fronting the costs of these new sheds. The cost would be approximately $1500-$2000 per shed. Those members would then not have to pay their yearly shed rental fee until their costs have been recouped, approximately 10 years. This is the same plan we used when we built the last set of cart sheds. Current members, whose names are on our shed waiting list, would have first chance at this opportunity. If members on our waiting list are not interested, we would open it up to anyone that is. As mentioned, this project is tentative, the board and I are simply trying to find out if there are 6 people interested in this.
